The "Ledger Transfer" window is used to transfer ledger account balances from one store to another. For example, an expense such as a power bill may go directly to an administration office for payment. The administration office can then split the expense up between the stores.

From

Account

Enter the ledger account number to transfer. Transfers will move from the local stores account to the alternate stores same account.

Balance

Displays the current balance of the account in the originating store.

Amount

Enter the total amount being transferred.

Transfer Account

When a transfer takes place between two stores an accrual account must be used to maintain a balance in the balance sheet of each store. To maintain this balance an accrual account must be used.

Allocated

The total amount allocated for transfer to all stores.

Difference

Quasar displays the difference between the allocated amount and the total amount. In order for a transaction to post the allocated amount must balance with the total amount.

Action Icons



- Select the "Save" icon to save the changes to the ledger transfer record.

- Select the "Undo" icon to remove any unsaved changes and display the original ledger transfer record.

- Select the "New" icon to create a new ledger transfer. If the open ledger transfer record has not yet been saved, you will be prompted to save it.

- Select the "Delete" icon to delete the ledger transfer record.

- Select the "Copy" icon to copy the contents of the ledger transfer record to an alternate ledger transfer record.

- Select the "Groups" icon to define the groups that the ledger transfer will be linked to.

- Select the "OK" icon to file the record.

- Select the "Cancel" icon to cancel the changes to the record.

Voided?

Toggle on or off. Toggle on to void the transaction. Toggle off to reinstate the transaction.
