The promotional selling prices for multiple items can be set using this screen. A promotion can be limited to specific price zones, stores and/or customers. Prices will take effect during the promotion start and stop dates inclusive. A promotion batch will not be in effect until the batch is "Executed".
An exciting feature of Quasar is that you can enter the selling quantity that you have purchased for the promotion. During the promotion you can run a promotion activity report to see the on hand status of your promotion stock.
The batch number for the batch. If no data is entered Quasar will default to the next available batch number.
The description of the promotion batch.
This feature is for companies using multiple price zones. The promotion batch can only display the price for one zone in the price column and where prices are calculated, they can only be calculated from price displayed in the price column. The zone defaults to the current zone for the store creating the batch. The zone can be changed if the limit definitions indicate the promotion is available to stores in other zones.
The date that you executed the promotion batch. Note: If you do not execute the batch, the prices will not take effect.
The items tab is used to add items and set the promotion prices for the batch. Items may be added manually or may be added using the add items button. Promotion prices may be added manually or may be calculated using the calculate button.
The item number of each item.
The description of the item.
The size of the item.
Displays the current regular selling price for the item in the selected zone.
Enter or calculate the promotion price for the item.
The quantity limit that the customer can purchase at the promotion price.
Enter the quantity of stock you are purchasing for promotion. The ordered quantity is used in reporting to display remaining stock available at promotion price.
Click on the add items button to add items to the promotion batch.
Add all items in a specified department.
Add all items in a specified subdepartment.
Add all items linked to a specific brand.
Add all items purchased from a specific vendor.
Add all items in a specified group.
Add all items in a specified location.
Click on the clear items button to clear all items from the promotion table.
Click on the calculate prices batch to calculate the promotion prices.
Calculate a firm promotion price by taking a percent off the regular price. Note - Prices are firm for promotion as calculated and do not change if the regular price changes unless you recalculate the promotion prices.
Calculate a firm price using a specified margin.
Calculate a firm price from the cost of the item. Note - the cost is the replacement with consideration given to the agency factor.
As you can with regular prices, you can round the promotion prices using your rounding rules.
Use the limits tab to limit place specific limits on the promotion.
The date that the promotion will take effect.
The ending date of the promotion after which the promotion prices will no longer be valid.
The daily starting time which promotion prices will take effect.
The daily ending time of the after which the promotion prices will no longer be valid.
Displays the days of the week that the promotion is valid.
Click on the set days button to set the day mask which defines which days the promotion will be active.
Toggle on or off. Toggle on if the items can be further discounted at the point-of-sale. Toggle off if no further discounts may be applied to the promotion items.
Add a new promotion limit.
Select "Include" to include the limit in the promotion or "Exclude" to exclude the limit from the promotion. An exclude is absolute.
Select from store, price zone, customer or group.
If you select a group you will need to select the group type which will be store or customer.
Depending on your data type you will need to enter the data. For example if you specify a customer group, then you will be expected to enter a customer group. If you enter a store as the data type, then you will be expected to enter the store.
Select edit to edit an existing limit.
Select delete to delete an exiting limit.
Select clear to clear all existing limits.
Click on the item search button to find an item in a large promotion batch.
Click on the make labels button to print shelf labels for all of the items in the promotion batch.
Click on the execute batch button to execute the batch. The promotion pricing does not take effect until the batch is executed.
Toggle on or off. Toggle on if the promotion batch is no longer active. Toggle off to make the promotion batch active again.
